Toronto, ON — Sept 16, 2025 — Morgan Solar Inc. is proud to announce that its Energy Blinds project at the BMO Scarborough Office Complex has won the BOMA Canada Pinnacle Award for Innovation, presented at the BOMEX Conference in Halifax.
The national award recognizes the transformative potential of Energy Blinds, which generate electricity, manage daylight, and improve insulation while looking like standard blinds. By combining clean energy generation with advanced sunlight modeling, Energy Blinds reduce building energy costs, lower emissions, and create healthier, more comfortable workspaces.
“It has been such an honour to contribute to the development of this market leading technology, and to win the prestigious BOMA Pinnacle Innovation Award alongside our industry partners” said Mike Edwards, Senior Energy Manager, BGIS. “The system has now earned industry recognition and is being adopted by other leading organizations such as Cisco and Global Affairs Canada. I’m excited to continue monitoring the system performance and to uncover new opportunities to support our clients in achieving their net-zero goals.”
This recognition adds to a growing list of accolades for Morgan Solar’s Energy Blinds, including the BGIS Supplier Innovation Award (2023), Cisco Fast Future Innovation Award (2024), BOMA Toronto Pinnacle Award for Innovation (2025), and the BOMA Toronto CREST Award for Innovation Leadership (2025).
