Smart Energy Blinds Project Earns BMO Gold at NRG’s 2025 Sustainability Awards
Toronto, ON — Nov. 14, 2025 — Morgan Solar’s Energy Blinds have been recognized by NRG with a gold award for Sustainability Leadership in their 2025 Excellence in Energy Awards. Designed to generate clean energy, improve comfort, and support sustainability goals, Energy Blinds are being recognized again for their role in how companies can make their buildings more sustainable.
We’re proud to congratulate the Bank of Montreal for receiving Gold in the Sustainability Leadership category at the 2025 NRG Excellence in Energy Awards. The award recognizes BMO’s commitment to forward-thinking sustainability practices through the deployment of clean, resilient technologies. At the heart of the project were 24 Morgan Solar Energy Blinds, installed at a major BMO Scarborough Office Complex in partnership with Morgan Solar, BGIS and Cisco. These smart photovoltaic blinds collect sunlight, provide power to the space and enhance energy performance by reducing heat gain and glare while maintaining daylighting and improve occupant comfort.

This marks the latest in a series of international awards for the BMO Energy Blind.
